This world-famous Caribbean resort recently joined the Preferred Hotels & Resorts luxury-hotel chain.
It is the only resort in the Dominican Republic that is currently a member of this chain of hotels that runs some 250 hotels throughout the world. Preferred Hotels & Resorts is run by the strictest of quality standards.

The resort features a total of 90 holes, and its Teeth of the Dog golf course is listed as number 47 (among 100 golf courses) according to Golf Magazine.
Other golf courses are the La Romana Country Club, and The Links Dye Fore.
The resort is also known for its exciting sports facilities: polo, equestrian club, marina and yacht club, 13 tennis courts and a shooting center.
