The Casa de Campo resort, considered to be one of the Caribbean’s most exclusive facilities, was recently awarded the 2013 Gold Tee Award by the Meetings & Conventions magazine.
The award is issued to resorts that offer extraordinary conditions for business meetings held at hotels that also offer exceptional golfing facilities.
The award was presented by Kirk Lewis, editor of Meetings & Conventions, and received by Peter Bonell, Casa de Campo’s Chief Management Officer.
Some 50,000 votes were issued by visitors that have attended corporate events held at Casa de Campo, situated in the country’s eastern region.
In total, some 70 resorts worldwide received this year’s award 2013 Gold Tee Award.
Casa de Campo is a member of Leading Hotels of the World and recognized worldwide for its golf facilities, all designed by the legendary Pete Dye.
The resort features the Teeth of the Dog golf course, which currently occupies the 47th slot among the top 100 golf courses in the world, as ranked by Golf Magazine.
In total, the resort offers 90 holes, divided among the La Romana Country Club, the Dye Fore and The Links golf courses.
Casa de Campo also offers polo, an equestrian club, marina and yacht club, 13 tennis courts and shooting center.
Also a first-class spa, restaurants, spacious rooms, comfortable villas, exclusive beaches and cultural activities at the nearby Altos de Chavon, known as the “Artists Village.”
