Mandarin, the official language of the Republic of China, will be used for the first time ever to provide information on the Dominican Republic’s tourism, cultural and economic issues.

This effort hopes to further relations and mutual understanding between the Asian giant and the Dominican public and private sectors.

All information will be available through www.accessdr.com beginning this coming month of June, said the media outlet’s representatives.

Access is also published in German, Russian, English, Italian, Portuguese, French and Spanish.

The Dominican Republic’s Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier Garcia, announced his support for the daily publication in Mandarin. “Venturing into the Chinese market is an important goal that will require a tremendous effort.

However, we’ve begun this process and providing positive, updated information on the Dominican Republic, is an important component of the Ministry’s efforts to achieve this goal.” Minister Garcia has visited the People’s Republic of China on two occasions.

Last March www.accessdr.com announced that it receives approximately one thousand daily visits.

During 2013 the website will receive close to half a million visitors from all over the world, providing them with updated information on the Dominican Republic in various languages. In its four years in the market, Access has established itself as a reliable source of information on the country.
